Hi and welcome to my little corner of the internet! I’m glad you’ve stopped by to see more of what we do. My name is Pam and I own a little bakery named Cake-ology. I’m a wife, sister, mom, aunty, sewer, knitter, baker and lover of all the domestic arts. I have two little girls and a (very) supportive husband who will graduate this spring as a teacher.
After a modest little beginning of making cakes for friends and family, in 2009 we grew into a cute little studio bakery in the heart of the historic exchange district in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We went from just me and Jeff to having 6 staff and the road along the way has been challenging and emotional, but best of all it’s been fun.
Our store has cupcakes, cookies and various treats available for sale and we specialize in making custom cakes for all kinds of occasions. We make everything from scratch and use local ingredients, compostable packaging and local services from everything from web designers (like these lovely pages) to our food suppliers, who help us source local products to buy.
We’ve rebuilt our little blog to better work with our friends and baking family online. As we grew and built our business, social media played a huge role. We used facebook, our blog and then twitter to get our photos out, send people ideas and stay connected and since doing that we have created a lovely little community of fans, customers, and fellow bakers. This site is made with the intent to share ideas, offer tutorials and of course, show off our work a little.
