Our friend Bonnie from My Secret Garden has paired up with us to offer some gorgeous hand-tied bouquets of fresh flowers to sell at the shop. They will be available on Saturday and are first come, first served, and are $35 taxes included.

Also available all the time at the shop (ie. no pre-order necessary) are our cakette gift boxes. We are doing two sizes, the large (shown above) with 30 pieces for $30 and a smaller one of 15 piece for $15. These are made up of our famous cakettes in assorted flavours only please.

We wouldn’t be CAKE-ology if we didn’t have some wonderful cakes available too! Above pictured is the most popular cake we’ve ever made. Am really excited to be making so many like this for weddings this summer too. We’re featuring a 6″ round cake, iced with butter cream for $30. Order ahead and choose your flavours, or you can risk it, and some will be available first come first served on Friday and Saturday. So classic and pretty!

With all of the pretty flowers we thought it would also be fun to make a cake of flowers. This is also a 6″ cake, for $30. A few will be available at the shop, but please pre-order to not miss out on this one. It’s too cute.

As I have been going thru oodles and oodles of archived photos, I came across a shoot I wanted to share (again)…I think…Sorry, if these look familiar to you. I think they were posted over a year ago though, so maybe they’re the first time you’ve seen them!

When I first opened up shop, I caught the eye of a couple photographers, as I do believe a couple of them are neighbours down here in the exchange. They asked if I would consider making them cakes, personalized to their style for a creative photo shoot they were collaborating on.  Since then we’ve worked together at wedding shows, events and of course, weddings! I think I can say I’ve also made each of them a birthday cake too…

This was for Sugar and Soul, for Melissa. Her work really is just that. Sweet, but not too sweet, with the right amount of soulful seriousness (check her stuff out by clicking on the highlighted words)

Next up is the ever classy Michelle of Michelle Zerr Photography. She looks so stunning in this photo

And these two are Jake and Jessica of Kamp Photography. These two are both adorable and fantastic photographers. What am I saying though, all four of them are oozing with talent. It was a pleasure working with them!

I have fastidiously kept photos of every cake I’ve ever made. Not any where specific, mind you…

And I was super sheepish to ask Melissa from Sugar and Soul Photography for another copy of these photo’s she took, as I thought I had lost them….

But thanks to spring, and my crazy spring cleaning kicks, I found them! Oh happy day! Aren’t they pretty?!

Each of those little chair boxes is holding a cakette favour! Perfect for weddings, they are from Jaime at My Way With Style, from a destination wedding event she hosted last year.

Here are some of the cupcakes we have done. Lots of little things can be added to the top. Usually they are $28/dozen for cupcakes, add a little something for $34/dozen. Skies the limit!

This was for our neighbour Jay, the head chef from the News Cafe next door. We often are asked for a little something for the birthday person of people’s work places. We have little edible fondant discs we can top cupcakes with and single candles just for that reason!

This month we are working with the Dream Factory (used to be the Rainbow Society), an awesome charity based out of Winnipeg, that help kid’s battling life-threatening illnesses break away and have some fun. March is their Month of Dreams campaign and we were excited they asked us to help.

Proceeds from the sale of each of red velvet cupcake will go directly to the Dream Factory, so come on in and get yours today. Treat yourself and do your part!

Do it for the children!!

I’ve never been to Vegas. Heard it’s kind of fun.

To be quite honest with you, Vegas kind of scares me. I think the amount of people would do me in…

But when I found out two good friends of mine are getting married there this fall, I made the decision.

I’m going to Las Vegas!

And with it not happening until the fall, I thought I would show off our Vegas inspired treats in the mean time
