January has been a little slow, as expected. I have a list a mile long of all the little odds and ends of things we’ve been putting off doing, so we have stayed super busy. Lots of crafting, lots of cleaning. And the one thing I’ve been procrastinating on for months?

Photo organizing.

Wow.

What a task in itself. Each week we do anywhere from 10-40 cakes, cupcakes and treats; ranging in all kinds of categories. Each one gets photographed, usuallly more than once (it’s often hard to take in the context of a 3D image in one photo) and then I dump them onto my hard drive.

I used to love playing with my photos and cropping them, adjusting the light etc. Then do a quick upload onto the blog and voila. But when I go to look at photo’s to select one and there are literally thousands of them, and none are ready to be shown off, it has become a task I’ve been avoiding. Thus the lack of blogging. I thought for awhile perhaps the ole’blog was a bit of a fad for me, I lost interest, I lost the desire. But now that Jenn has been fastidiously working away and chipping away at all the files, I’m seeing pictures again, and I’m excited to share them.

I’m seeing cakes again that I’ve almost forgotten about. Lots of fun stuff! I’m pretty excited to be back online and with all kinds of fun to show off. Feeling a little musical today, thus these guys. Violins and tuba’s. I hope to keep you entertained now that the weather has made it super frosty again outside. Come and snuggle up to the warm little computer…
